
Most parishes start to use their Safeguarding Hub because they want to keep track of people's DBS checks and safeguarding training. But the Hub also has extra features that can help a parish with other safeguarding tasks.
We wanted to keep the Hub as simple as possible for new users, therefore the extra features are initially switched off. However, they can be added whenever you want to use them - and this can be done on a role-by-role basis.
Which extra features are available now?
For most church roles, the extra features can help you:
- To create a Role Description and Person Specification
- To track the safer recruitment of new volunteers
Which extra features will be available later this year?
During 2026, we hope to add two other extra features that can help you:
- To keep track of supervision and support meetings
- To create adverts
How do I add an extra feature?
We recognise that a parish might want to start using an extra feature for some church roles, but not for others. Therefore, to add an extra feature for a particular role:
- Go the Role Creator in your Hub
- Select one of the roles
- Go to Role Settings
- Choose the extra features to be used for this role.
