An assignment connects one person to one role - it has a start date, and it will have an end date.

Here are some examples of assignments:

• Chris Clough was appointed a Pastoral Visitor on 07/05/2021
• Susan Smith was appointed a Children's Worker on 02/08/2022
• David Drake was elected a PCC Member on 02/04/2019 and he resigned on 01/04/2022

The first two are current assignments.  The third one is a completed assignment that can be archived.
