A Hub Owner can choose to connect a Safeguarding Hub to its corresponding Safeguarding Dashboard.
Once connected, the Hub will automatically update dashboard lights relating to DBS checks and safeguarding training.
The above video shows how this works.
How is the connection me made?
Only a Hub Owner can connect their Hub to its corresponding Dashboard as follows:
- Sign in to the Safeguarding Hub
- Go to Hub Settings (at the bottom of the Main Menu)
- Select Dashboard Connection
- Confirm that the Hub is up to date (by ticking three boxes and entering today's date)
- Confirm that the Dashboard is to be connected to the Hub
- Press Save
What happens to the dashboard?
Once connected, the regular dashboard lights relating to DBS checks and safeguarding training immediately disappear.
Instead, this information is now displayed by a new set of 'automatic' dashboard lights that can be found under Church Roles.
These new lights automatically change colour in response to information in the Safeguarding Hub.
It means that the dashboard always displays the latest information about DBS checks and safeguarding training.
Will this be reversable?
Yes. A Hub Owner can disconnect their Dashboard and Hub at any time.
However, once disconnected, the Dashboard Owner will again need to answer questions about DBS checks and safeguarding training.
