The use of a Safeguarding Hub is conditional upon the parish accepting our Service Agreement. This includes a Data Processing Addendum that is required by the UK GDPR.
Consultation
Clearly Simpler is already complying with the terms of a draft Service Agreement.
During February and March 2025, participating dioceses within the Church of England are being consulted about this draft agreement.
How will a parish accept the Service Agreement?
During April 2025, the revised Service Agreement will be sent to those PCCs that are using Safeguarding Hubs. A Hub Owner will then be able to accept the Service Agreement on behalf of the PCC by ticking a box. The date and the name of the Hub Owner will be automatically recorded.
During June 2025, a reminder will be sent to any parish that has not yet accepted the Service Agreement. This will explain that they must accept it within the next four weeks.
During July 2025, any parish that has still not accepted the Service Agreement will have their access to their Safeguarding Hub temporarily suspended. Their access will be restored as soon as they accept the Service Agreement.
